...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO
10 PM CST THIS EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ADDITIONAL COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND
SOUTHERN AND WESTERN KENTUCKY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS
MORNING TO 10 PM CST THIS EVENING.

THIS ADVISORY IS FOR COUNTIES GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE
FROM GOLCONDA ILLINOIS TO GREENVILLE KENTUCKY...INCLUDING MOSTLY
THE SOUTHERN PENNYRILE REGION OF WESTERN KENTUCKY.

RAIN WILL MIX WITH SLEET OR SNOW AT TIMES THIS MORNING BEFORE
CHANGING OVER TO ALL SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON.

GENERALLY ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW AND ICE WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR
MOST OF THE ADVISORY AREA. THE ACCUMULATION WILL BE MOSTLY ON
GRASSY SURFACES...BUT SLIPPERY ROADS WILL DEVELOP LATER IN THE DAY
AS TEMPERATURES BEGIN TO DIP TO THE FREEZING MARK.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW OR ICE WILL
CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND
LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
