Ice Cleanup Short Update

Still several people without power in West Kentucky. Including towns like Clay, Marion, and small communities in the hardest hit rural counties. FEMA and National Guard are working hard.

Great news: A warmup that will take temps as high as near 70 tommrow will continue and continue for about a week. By that week a good deal should have power. If they don't they will at least know somewhere else to go to get power for when the cold air returns around Valentines Day.

Mr. Steven Devine :
I`m Expecting a Hi On 2/7/09 Of Near 70 °
The Record Hottest Is 71 ° In 2001.
Would`nt A Record Hottest Hi be a NICE Change from the recent SUPER COLD DAY`S.
KENTUCKY could use a FEW Warm day`s Without Storm`s.
Even though storm`s are a maybe next week.
Thank`s from Bemis - Jackson, Tn.

It should be a nice warmup. We hit close to that yesterday I believe like 66. Today is gonna be warm and tomm. probably I don't know what the record is but we will probably flurt with it or pass it. Storms come later on along with strong gradient winds not good for cleanup.
