Super Tuesday Outbreak 1 year ago from Tommorow.
A brief tornado map. Kinda hard to read. 1 year ago from Tomorrow Feb 5th a day that will live in the mind and heart of many featured a historic tornado outbreak. In West Kentucky all 5 tornadoes were caused by one tornadic supercell. It started in NW TN but then moved into SE Graves County than it moved into Calloway County. This is where it produced it's first tornado. An ef-1 tornado just west of the shore of Kentucky Lake that caused minor damage to the area. Then the tornado moved into North Trigg County and produced 2 tornadoes both Ef-1 Where spotters saw a tornado that passed just to north of Cadiz with minor damage near Lake Barkley Lodge from one Ef-1 tornado and North of Cadiz in the second Ef-1 tornado.
The second and most devastating string of tornadoes is in Christian and Muhelnberg Counties. The first tornado an upper end Ef-2 hit the Crofton area. Many homes were damaged and destroyed in this area and again in Muhlenberg County. Muhelnberg county is a county that got hit the hardest by tornadoes. An tornado started from west of Greenville than on the western side of Greenville caused sadly 3 deaths in West Kentucky in a Mobile home park. This tornado went though Powedery and Central City. Nearly missing a high school basketball game in Central City. In total over 21 millon dollars of damage occurred in Muhlenberg County and over 4 million in Christian County.
This was the first deadly tornado in west ky since Nov 2005. Prior to Nov 2005 the last deadly tornado occurred in March 1991.
Also featured West Kentucky's first ever high risk in February
