Please keep the updates coming. We have family in Murray and are trying to stay abreast of the situation there. We're about to come evacuate them ourselves! (from SC)

Thanks for the updates so far!

Oh Ok thanks for reading. I hope that everyone is doing the best. It could be awhile before a sense of normal conditions returns. We were lucky and were only out for 11 hours yesterday, and 5 hours yesterday. Some people even in Hopkinsville which got hit but not as bad as areas to the west to northwest go are still without power for 24 to 36 hours now.

Tell them to stay safe and patient.

I am not hearing a lot in that area. I think the NWS office is back up. The last hazardous weather outlook just said issued by NWS Paducah and not Springfield. That is a good step. I am praying that the people in this area are alright and get power as soon as possible. There are crew from TN and Alabama and even Texas down here in West KY working on it.

I talked to family in Mayfield KY today 1/29/09 1:00pm. They do not have electricity and running out of water. A main water main in town broke. It looks like a tornado went through there. All businesses are closed except foe Lowes who is running on generator and Youngbloods. They say it is very bad there. They want to know how Bowling Green Ky is doing? Students at WKU.

Bowling Green dodged the worst of it I believe. Kinda like southern Todd and Christian. They got some decent ice accumulation and some areas may not have power. Most of my friends on facebook around Bowling Green WKU have been on and I believe they are ok.

A lot of Murray State friends are back in Hopkinsville. This is a very bad situation if they can get out in a few days and they have out of town family I would recommend that they do it. All prayers are with all the families from the Bluegrass to Arkansas that have to deal with this diaster.

US 60 in Livingston County which is near Reidland is closed due to large tree branches on the road.

keep up the news -- appreciate anything you can find out about Reidland -- Prayers to All --Please let us know what we can do -- prayer works, however if there's anything else, too.

Right now prayers is pretty good. I imagine that this will be a federal disaster declaration. We will just all pray and hope that we all make it out stronger than me came into the storm with.
