The Ohio River at Paducah and Smithland should crest at around 55 feet within the next 12 to 24 hours and begin to gradually fall. The Mississippi River at New Madrid which will impact Hickman still has a few days before a crest in record territory. Very serious flooding continues in that area. In areas that are starting to fall heavy flooding will still be an issue for about a week because it takes awhile for Major Rivers to go down.
