PART OF WESTERN KENTUCKY...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE

9 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS
EVENING TO 9 AM CST WEDNESDAY FOR PART OF WEST KENTUCKY.

THIS ADVISORY WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR CALLOWAY...TRIGG...CHRISTIAN...TODD
AND MUHLENBURG COUNTIES IN WEST KENTUCKY...ALONG AND SOUTH OF A
LINE FROM MURRAY...CADIZ...CROFTON AND GREENVILLE KENTUCKY.

* TIMING...THE PRECIPITATION THAT WILL BE EXPANDING ACROSS THE
ADVISORY AREA WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA
BY OR SHORTLY AFTER 7 PM CST...THEN PERSIST OVERNIGHT...TAPERING
OFF TOWARD DAYBREAK...6 AM CST...WEDNESDAY.

* MAIN IMPACT...THE GREATEST SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL LIKELY OCCUR
BETWEEN 9 PM CST TO 4 AM CST...WITH SNOW AMOUNTS RANGING NEAR
ONE AND A HALF INCHES TO SLIGHTLY MORE THAN THREE INCHES ALONG
THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF CHRISTIAN AND TODD COUNTIES. ISOLATED
HIGHER AMOUNTS MAY BE POSSIBLE.

* OTHER IMPACTS...TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BE BELOW FREEZING
OVER THE ENTIRE ADVISORY AREA BY 9 PM CST...UNTREATED ROADS
WILL RAPIDLY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLICK DURING THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS. THIS MAY MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL FOR DRIVING ON
SECONDARY ROADS AND SOME HIGHWAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
