...LIGHT SNOW POSSIBLE THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT...
A SERIES OF MINOR UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEMS WILL STREAM NORTHEAST
OVER THE QUAD STATE THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. IN
RESPONSE...PRECIPITATION MAY DEVELOP NORTHWARD INTO SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI...WEST KENTUCKY...AND THE SOUTHERN TIP OF ILLINOIS
BEGINNING THURSDAY MORNING. THERE WILL BE A VERY SHARP NORTHERN
EDGE TO THE PRECIPITATION...WHICH WILL LIKELY BE SOMEWHERE ACROSS
THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE QUAD STATE REGION. ANY PRECIPITATION
IS EXPECTED TO MOVE EAST OF THE AREA BEFORE DAYBREAK FRIDAY.
AT THIS TIME...IT APPEARS THAT THE PRECIPITATION WILL BE MOSTLY
SNOW OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...AND A MIX OF RAIN
AND SNOW OVER WEST KENTUCKY. WITH SURFACE TEMPERATURES AT OR JUST
ABOVE FREEZING THROUGH THE DAY AND MUCH OF THURSDAY EVENING...THE
SNOW WILL HAVE A HARD TIME ACCUMULATING. AT THIS TIME...ACCUMULATIONS
UP TO AN INCH ARE FORECAST NEAR THE ARKANSAS AND TENNESSEE
BORDERS...WITH LESSER AMOUNTS FARTHER NORTH.
