A very sig. and historic flood event occurred in MO,IL, and IN. West KY wasn't hit as hard but still got hit pretty hard. 2 to 6 inches of rain feel in the area with 5 to 6 inches from Arlington KY to Henderson/Owensboro areas. A state of emergency was declared in Henderson county as boat rescues had to occur on the night of March 18th and early March 19th 2008. Parts of US 60 were closed esp in Union and Henderson counties. Main roads in Carlisle County were closed, and Owensboro experienced some major urban and street flooding. Flooding effects occurred though March 21st and minor to moderate flooding of Ohio, Mississippi, and Green Rivers closed some highways and threatened low land homes.
Although not as bad as to the NW about 1 million dollars of damage occurred in West KY.
