NOAA Alerts
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display_cmsstory.php?wfo=crh&storyid=83063&source=0
Starting in June the NWS and NOAA will begin sending weather alerts to
your phone. They will send a signal to the towers in a warned area,
which can then go to your phone. This will only include the most
serious warnings (Blizzard, Ice Storm, Tornado, Flash Flood, High Wind,
Dust Storm, Presidential messages, or Hurricane Warnings). Things like
Winter WX Advisories, Wind Advisories, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings,
Tropical Storm Warnings, or any-type of watch will not be broadcasted
using this service. This is to help spur the public to action during
times when serious natural or man-made disasters strike.
