...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FREEZING DRIZZLE...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL
6 AM CST WEDNESDAY.

AREAS OF LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE AND
EXPAND EAST AND NORTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT. ALTHOUGH NO MAJOR ICING IS EXPECTED...ROADS AND OTHER
SURFACES WILL LIKELY RECEIVE A THIN COATING OF ICE.

THIS WILL RESULT IN SLIPPERY DRIVING AND WALKING CONDITIONS.
ROADS IN MANY AREAS ARE STILL COVERED IN ICE AND SNOW FROM THE
WINTER WEATHER THAT MOVED THROUGH LAST NIGHT. TRAVEL WILL BE
DIFFICULT AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED IN AREAS WHERE THE FREEZING
DRIZZLE OCCURS. DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY BE WORSE TONIGHT
THAN LAST NIGHT.

NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
AND SOUTHEAST MISSOURI.

TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN AT OR BELOW FREEZING THROUGH TONIGHT.
