The first widespread snowfall threat is expected tomorrow. Snow accumulations aren't expected to be major, but travel issues could still develop.
Overview
- Timing of the snow is expected to be around 8am along the MS River, about 11am around the LBL area upwards towards Morganfield/Henderson, and around 12-12:30 around Todd/Muhlenberg Counties.
- Temperatures start out in the upper 30's in western portions of the area to around 40 in the eastern portions of the area. Temps. fall 10-15 degrees after the front and are expected to be in the mid to upper 20's areawide by sunset.
- Scattered snow showers could form throughout the night.
- 30 to 39MPH wind gusts could cause blowing snow.
- Total Snow accumulation of around 1 inch, but some areas that get into heavier bands may see 2 inches. (Best chance of this is around the Evansville Tri State area)
- Falling temperatures will mean that wet spots on the road will freeze, leaving very hazardous condition's late tomorrow afternoon into the evening hours.
