THE FOLLOWING IS THE DAMAGE ASSESSMENT FOR A TORNADO THAT OCCURRED
WITH A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN WESTERN KENTUCKY.

* EVENT TIME - APPROXIMATELY 1228 PM CDT
* EVENT TYPE - EF1 TORNADO
* EVENT LOCATION - THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN 3 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST
OF GRAND RIVERS...OR 2.5 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF SUWANEE...NEAR
HOPEWELL ROAD. THE TORNADO ENDED 3/8 MILE EAST OF THE TOUCHDOWN
LOCATION...NEAR HIGHWAY 62/641.
* PEAK WIND - 105 MPH
* AVERAGE PATH WIDTH - 90 YARDS
* PATH LENGTH - 3/8 MILE
* INJURIES - NONE
* FATALITIES - NONE
* DISCUSSION/DAMAGE...NEAR COMPLETE DESTRUCTION OF THREE FARM
OUTBUILDINGS/BARNS. FOUR 1500 POUND HAY BALES TOSSED END OVER END.
METAL DEBRIS THROWN INTO TREES 90 DEGREES TO THE LEFT OF PATH. LARGE
HARDWOOD TREES AND OTHER TREES UPROOTED. SMALL LIMBS BROKEN OUT OF
SOME TREES HALFWAY UP. POWER POLE PUSHED OVER. AN EYEWITNESS
REPORTED SUDDEN INCREASE IN WIND/WHIRLWIND/DEBRIS IN AIR/WHINING
SOUND.
