Also there is Glory Days in Mayfield. Many river firework shows along the Ohio River in Henderson and Paducah. It is too far out to tell the exact forecast for the 4th or the days around it, but long range suggests that temperatures will be above average.

Heat Advisory continues. The past few days due to wet soil moisture we didn't quite get up to Heat Index values of 105. As soil dries, and the ridge builds then the cases of reaching into the upper 90's with HI values of 105 to 108 increase. This could be a threat all the way though Wednesday.

If you are going to the lakes, or going outside for an extended period of time be careful, as you can get heat exhaustion easliy, if you overwork your body, without drinking fluids. Drink Fluids, Dress in light colors, take breaks in the shade

Thunderstorm Warning for Paducah KY area. Till 7pm storm could produce 70MPH winds.
Severe Thunderstorms are in effect for parts of Crittenden, Webster, Henderson, and Daviess Counties. Watch out for 58 to 70MPH winds. Clay, Providence, Dixon, Owensboro, Henderson are cities that are under the gun for the next hour.
T-Storm Warnings now for the Henderson KY area. Wind gusts up to 60MPH can be expected.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR..... NORTHWESTERN CRITTENDEN COUNTY IN WESTERN KENTUCKY... NORTHERN LIVINGSTON COUNTY IN WESTERN KENTUCKY... WESTERN UNION COUNTY IN WESTERN KENTUCKY...* UNTIL 430 PM CDT.
MDT risk from Dixon KY to Calhoun KY line north. A possible damaging wind event is unfolding. Isolated tornadoes, and large hail may also occur along and north of this line.

Slight risk of severe for today, and tom. for Henderson KY. Only isoalted hail/wind threat up there. Lake Day 3 out of 5 for today and tom. watch out for heat, and isolated thunderstorms which could contain lightning.

Lake Day of 3 out of 5 today. Reasons for this are. 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, Heat Index values near 105 during the heat of the day(why Heat Advisory is in effect for Paris and Parsons TN).
